Such a big girl now! Your 4-year-old girl doesn’t look or act much like a baby anymore. The developmental milestones after your little girl’s 4^th birthday make it fun to hang out with your 4-year-old, playing with toys. Number blocks and other counting puzzles help develop these pre-maths skills and build a foundation for STEM studies later on.

One of the biggest milestones with your 4-year-old girl is the understanding of the concept of time. Now, many parents count the number of “sleeps” before an important event. Also, your child likely now tells elaborate stories, some from memory and others from her imagination. Supporting imaginative play with open-play toys helps girls develop this sort of creativity in a positive way. Many 4-year-old girls love to play board games and card games that are age-appropriate.
